Brazil is like turning the volume all the way up. The colors, the sounds, the flavors, the emotions—everything is bigger, more intense, more alive. Our stories from Brazil paint a picture of a country that swept us off our feet from the very first moments, from the joyful cacophony of Rio de Janeiro to the peaceful tranquility of the beaches of the Northeast.
But that’s also what allowed us to see the country change before our very eyes: the city of Rio giving way to the sugarcane plantations of Minas Gerais, then to the white dunes of the Lençóis Maranhenses, and finally to the dense Amazon rainforest. Every bus window is a different movie.

About Our Travel Blog
Mathilde and I chose to travel slowly, favouring overland transport and real exchanges with locals. That slower-than-average pace let us experience things a classic itinerary never would: staying with a family in a village with no tourists, sharing an impromptu meal on the side of a Bolivian road, or stumbling on an archaeological site no guidebook mentions. That's what we share here.
Our stories are also a concrete source of inspiration for planning your own trip.
